Don J. Haefner
Don is the owner and Chief inspector at Heartland Building Inspections. Heartland was the first professional, fee paid, whole house and building inspection company in Southeast Missouri and St. Francois county. Don is a life-long resident of the area and has an extensive experience and background in designing and building homes, general contracting of residential, apartments and commercial building construction and maintenance. There is no substitute for actual design and construction experience as a builder. As the person solely responsible for building Don know how all of the materials will act and interact to make the building as trouble free as possible and as an inspector, he can bring this broad knowledge to our inspections of your home. He has performed thousands of whole house and termite inspections for satisfied home buyers and sellers, in St. Francois, Jefferson, Washington, Iron, Madison, Reynolds, St. Louis and Ste. Genevieve Counties. Don has specialized in the building inspection industry for more than 22 years to provide the best possible service to clients. He is personally recommended by several senior appraisers and appraisal offices. Additionally, he has performed specialty inspections for lending institutions for problem evaluations and for guaranteed real estate home sale programs.
Don inspects more than 500 items in the home from the foundation to the roof and everything in between. His clients are encouraged to accompany him on the inspection to ask any related questions and learn about the condition and operation of the property. Don is a Missouri State Certified Inspector for On-Site Septic Systems and Wells Since 2001, Licensed inspector with Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.
A member in good standing and certified by ESA (Environmental Solutions Association) Environmental Inspector for indoor and outdoor Air Quality, Mold and Radon Testing.
